Privacy Notice

How we collect, use, and protect personal data, aligned with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

Who this notice applies to

This notice explains how Malaysia Stock Loans handles personal data provided to us — chiefly through enquiries submitted via this website or by email. By contacting us or submitting an enquiry, you consent to the handling of your personal data as described here.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to provide and what is reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, which may include your name, contact details, the company or counter you refer to, the approximate size and nature of your position, and the contents of your message. Early enquiries can remain high-level; you are not required to disclose sensitive detail to begin a conversation.

How we use it

Personal data is used to assess and respond to your enquiry, to prepare indicative terms where appropriate, to carry out — through licensed counterparties — any know-your-customer and source-of-funds checks required for a transaction, and to comply with applicable law. We do not use your data for mass marketing, and we do not sell it.

Disclosure to third parties

Your data is reviewed by a principal of the firm and is not disclosed to third parties except, where a transaction proceeds and with your knowledge, to the licensed counterparties, custodians, and counsel required to execute it, or where disclosure is required by law or a regulator. A non-disclosure agreement is available on request.

Retention and security

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, and we apply reasonable measures to protect it against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but enquiries are received through channels chosen with confidentiality in mind.

Your rights under the PDPA

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and you may limit or withdraw your consent to its processing, subject to legal and contractual constraints. To make a request, contact us at enquiries@malaysiastockloans.com.

Cross-border and changes

Where data is processed by a counterparty outside Malaysia in the course of a transaction, we take reasonable steps for it to be handled consistently with this notice. We may update this notice from time to time; the current version is the one published here.

This notice is provided for general information and is not legal advice. The contact and entity details on this website are illustrative.
